Can pavers be installed over my existing lanai slab?+
Usually, yes. If the slab is structurally sound, drains toward the screen and leaves enough height at the sliding door, we mortar-set pavers directly on it — no demolition. We check all three on site.
Will pavers raise my lanai floor too much at the door?+
That is the first thing we measure. 2CM porcelain is about ¾ in thick and is the usual answer when clearance is tight; thicker stone needs more room. We confirm the finished height before you choose a material.
What do you do with the cool-deck or painted coating on my lanai?+
It has to come off. Mortar needs to bond to clean concrete, not to paint or texture, so we remove the coating and profile the slab before setting pavers.
What is the best paver for a Sarasota lanai?+
Porcelain for most lanais: thin, non-porous, no sealing and unaffected by pool chemicals or salt air. Travertine when you want the coolest surface and have the door height for it.

They completed a large project around our pool using 3cm ceramic pavers and mosaic tiles wrapping the spa and waterline of the pool. A few months later, they came back to do the driveway also in the same ceramic pavers. The work was done promptly and everything was handled in a professional and efficient manner. Diogo has come back a few times to take care of minor items and is always available to address any concerns. I’m very happy with the work and highly recommend them to anyone.
